"I own the earlier version of this camera the S220, I've dropped it, used it in freezing temperatures and it has knocked about in my pocket with keys and coins for a couple of years. A few days ago I dropped it in to a culvert and it was under water until I recovered it a few minutes later and left to dry for 2 days it still works fantastically.

The settings are easy to use, the panorama setting actually works, the quality is good either taking family photos or in low light at gigs. My earlier version does have a bit of shutter lag but not much. In good light the exposure is sharp and fast in low light if it is stable it does as good if not better then some old DSLRs. I have been really pleasantly surprised with the quality of pictures I'm getting.

The video camera is OK (though microphone isn't up to much) but if you need better then get a dedicated video camera but this will take the larger capacity memory cards which means you can shoot ages of video if needed.

I also have a pretty decent Nikon DSLR which is great but if you want a small camera in your pocket for all occasions and costing under 100 pounds this is great.
