Levada Walking in Madeira Video

Starting from from the bus stop at Vale Paraíso we join the Levada da Serra do Faial heading westward. Along the way we pass some cascading water and a few muddy stretches.

Following the signs pointing to Monte, we join the Levada dos Tornos and walk through the exclusive Choupana Hills Spa and Resort.

The Levada dos Tornos actually goes all the way to Monte. However, the last part involves some unprotected stretches with sheer drops and we decided to give this part a miss.

Leaving the Levada do Tornos by a flight of steep steps just before reaching Romeiros, we easily find the yellow town bus stop for a local bus back to Funchal.
